I'm country enough to survive if I know where the nearest country store is that sells Dr. Pepper and chicken livers to go! :D
I do still have a small propane burner and old style coffee pot I used to take deer hunting years ago.
My brother-in-law at the time would go hunting with me and always got a charge out of coming back to the truck and drinking fresh made coffee and eating Honey Buns my wife would get for us.
That was a brunch on the tail gate we always enjoyed on a frosty November morning.
He is now my Ex BIL and my wife is gone. I am a bit too gimped up still to deer hunt but my exBIL still talks like he would love to do it again.
I might dig out the old coffee pot, find a place to deer hunt with a country store nearby that sells chicken livers, and get him here to go once again next year.
Life is wonderful if you enjoy the little things you take for granted! ;)

I've never been called a city boy by anyone, and I'm familiar with every line in that song...however a few decisions along the way prevent me from participating in all of it nowadays. But I know how to survive.

Furthermore, just because I grew up in rural Alabama where not everyone had indoor facilities, doesn't mean I'll eat chicken livers or various "tastes like chicken" varmints. Some things were meant for coyote bait or catfish bait...just my humble opinion! Haha!
